So, feel free to feel disrespected ISUb fans but don’t look for sympathy because you finally won more than 1 game and now aren’t ranked like some of you feel you should be. Finish over .500 against D1 teams and then I’ll talk about maybe seeing ISUb as a top 50 team….

a who is this Indian state school? B history only matters when the past players r playing, I dont think isu will win the valley but I wouldn't be suprised to see them be a top 3 team with a steady qb and a solid defense.[/quote]
Top 3 in the conference? Based on what? NDSU and UNI both return 18-19 players off of their teams (one was the conference champ, the other was in the national quarterfinals and was a fumble on the 2 inch line in OT from knocking off the eventual national champions on their field...a week after beating the #3 seed in the playoffs). SIU had a terrible season last year, but returns pretty much everyone - and should finally be healthy...which will give them some players who have had All MVFC and All American Honors. If Illinois State can find something, anything, better than the junior high defense they had last season they have the offense to be a 9 win team. Youngstown State should be a 7 win club this year. SDSU, while the lost Minnett, should be fairly strong this year. MSU is just bad, and I don't know what to expect from WIU

However, to finish top three in the conference this year you will need at lest 8 D1 wins, and at least 6 MVFC wins. Last season was the worst MVFC/Gateway in probably a decade, and the Sycs best team in 15 years still couldn't break .500 in league play....or D1 play.

You guys were ranked 21st in one preseason publication this year...21st...I'm fairly certain they were laughed into extinction as I think they had UNI-NDSU 4-5 as well but still, that's more respect than most of the posters here combined will give you.

However, you do have a solid QB. I will concede you that. Indy St. will have my respect when they have properly earned it, and that will require consistent success

Wasn't complaining about "respect" I was merely stating past success has very little to do with this current team under it's current staff. And Ronnie Fouch is far above solid, last year he had a 4 touchdown to 1 interception ratio.
TBQH, I do believe I said 3-5 was the place I expected Indiana State to finish so don't think I said otherwise.

Youngstown State? Absurd.

And I admit to being a little sketchy following FCS, but teams like Colgate and Harvard ahead of half the conference including Missouri State? Seems extreme. I know from coworkers who are big college and KC Chiefs fans that Phil Steele is very inconsistent. Most of his magaznie consists of him patting himself in the back about picking this team 7 years ago. It is cool that he is doing a 1AA magazine, but his credibility isn't that of athlon, sporting news, Lindie's and others.

Did you mean not many? We had only 1 on first team (Boothby) and maybe 2 or 3 more on 2nd team. Kinda surprising, I thought
