I'm not going to worry about possible 1/8 matchups until WSU is confirmed as an 8/9, I still think they get a 7, but WSU is deeper and has much better athletes than the Zags. WSU is not going to out athlete KU and there would be some match-up problems. WSU can beat KU but the Zags are the ezer matchup for the Shox. JMO

It pisses me off you have a team from a major conference finish 5 or 6
Games under 500 in conference play. Goes into the conference tournament
4 games over 500 overall and wins 3 games and knocks out a team like
Illinois St.who has been great all year. :x

If they win their tournament, I don't care what their record is......they belong.
I hate that same team getting in because they won a couple home games against a conference foe that is considered to be great. Give ISU 6 home games with ACC teams and see how many they win! A couple "special" wins shouldn't outweigh the balance of the seasons results.

URI winning knocks out another bubble team. Bad news.

Bracketing right now...ended up so close to a sexy VCU/Kansas path in the 1st round for Wichita, followed by Notre Dame and UCLA/UNC. Got conflicted out because I needed that spot for St Mary's. Instead,

Ended up with:

8) Wichita St vs. 9) Marquette

1) Gonzaga in round 2
4/5) Florida St/Cincy in the Sweet 16
2/3) Arizona/Butler in the Elite 8

Pretty best-case scenario, IMO

ISU's average RPI over the prior 7 seasons (as far back as I found on warrenNolan)?

120.

Maybe don't blame the 'others' when you are more a part of that group than not.

It doesn't look good today for ISUR to make the tourney, but I'm still hoping, and I still think that if they are selected, they're good enough to win a couple.

Agree. The deck is stacked so far against the Valley. WSU should know the feeling based on a couple of seedings screw jobs they've received recently.
