I love Hacksaw, especially in February, but these are comical. If Evansville finishes ahead of Bradley, I'll buy Acedad's beer at Scottrade. theres just no way this is happening

Well with not one game having been played yet, I would have to agree with chitown. Nobody knows how good, or bad, the Aces will be, but I don't believe that the Aces will finish ahead of Bradley. I was more impressed with Bradley last year, than the Aces, and they have way more back than the Aces. Let's play some games, and then talk about who will finish above who.

If Wardle drops from 6th to 9th in the standings after returning everybody of consequence, adding Childs and replacing Wichita on the schedule with Valpo, that means we're definitely cursed and instead of frisbee dog halftime shows we need witchdoctors to dance for us and replace t shirt cannons with super soaker toting priests spraying the crowd with holy water.

Without any conference games played, the model is barely anything more than a different way of presenting the ratings (in this case, Sagarin Predictor). Once we get a handful of conference games underway, the model starts to add some more value with conference records and tiebreakers coming into play. Honestly, I was just making sure switching out Wichita and adding in Valpo wasn't causing any errors in the calcs...and then because I had a test run complete, I figured I'd share, because why not?! Just trying to make sure I'm on my A-game come February! (Not saying I completely agree with the odds currently either, but without games played yet - who knows!)

Especially if MSU goes from 6th to 2nd.

Written by a former Valpo staff writer. Yeah, that's real legit.

Where the hell did you get that from... Closest this guy has ever gotten to Valpo is that he lived and went to school in Wisconsin. Greg Peterson LinkedIn Bio
Not even saying that I agree with this guy, just thought I would put this out there because VU isn't finishing 6th in this years iteration of the MVC.

SIU already lost Marcus Bartley and Bol to injury until around the start of conference play. Fletcher a game-time decision for the season opener at Winthrop. Tough break for the boys from Southern.
