Clearly the MVC was the FCS football conference in the country again this year--5 teams in the sweet 16--unfortunately the top 4 met head to head--so only NDSU and ISU (red) are left in the elite 8. Previous predictions on this thread were off--but the quality of teams was strong WIU who finished near the bottom nearly beat the top 2 teams on their home field.

Hoping NDSU and Illinois State can keep the Valley alive to the finals--and both of those team have a lot of returning talent and had very good recruiting classes--so the Valley will get better :bounce:

The MVFC's ISU Redbirds and 3 time defending FCS champs NDSU Bison are now both just one win away from meeting up for an all Valley national championship game.

NDSU plays at home on Friday, while the ISU Redbirds hit the road to play the #1 seed New Hampshire.
Should be a couple terrific games.

The MVFC has absolutely dominated FCS football this season, and as a conference the Valley is rated above the MAC, Conference USA and the Sun Belt (which are all FBS conferences).

Know many posters don't care, but the MVFC is a very strong brand that's getting better each season...COOL! 8-)
