What's happening is the Freshmen (and JoJo) are outplaying the Sophomores and Junior. It's simply a more talented recruiting class. This is not all that surprising since Wardle had to fill an entire roster pretty late in the recruiting process due to his hire date. Frankly, you are seeing why a lot of these Sophomores were still available. Pittman and DLO are the only players from last year's roster in top 5 minutes played.

Comparatively, how did the second leading vote-getter do today?

The biggest freshman surprise so far has been Nate Kennell at Bradley. Many fans, including myself, were questioning whether he was an MVC level player down the road.

After four MVC games he is averaging 11.5 points and 2.5 rebounds a game. Shooting 56% from the floor, 60% from three and 90% from the line. Of course those numbers won't continue but he has been way better than anyone could have guessed.

That is impressive.

I know the Braves are senior-less this season, but am curious - have they signed anyone for next year? If so, could you summarize? I am excited to see what kind of talent Wardle can snag in the next wave of recruiting.

Two players signed so far, both 6-7 but play different positions.

I won't go too into detail for fear of getting something wrong.

Ryan Stipanovich, SF, shooter. Similar-ish to a Luuk Van Bree but hopefully a lot better.

Elijah Childs, Big and physical. Reminds me of Tyshon Pickett.

Didn't the Stipanovich kid shoot himself in the foot?

Not sure if you mean this literally or not. Either way, I'm not sure what you're talking about. I've heard nothing but good things about him.

Also, Fun Fact, his High School coach is Blake Ahearn.
